Day 1:
Muscat (15 kilometers / 0.5 hours)
After your arrival at Muscat International Airport, you will proceed to the Visa counter for collecting the receipt for visa on arrival. You will proceed towards the baggage collection area, where you will collect your luggage and pass customs. In the arrival hall, you will be welcomed by our Representative/Tour Guide who will be escorting you to the transfer vehicle that is taking you to your hotel. Check in and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2:
Muscat City Tour (Breakfast, Lunch) (150 kilometers / 6 hours)
You will use 4WD from Muscat onwards. Breakfast and Early check-out at the hotel and today start your first day in this wonderful country with its Grand Mosque, which opened in 2001, and features an elegant design. Completely decorated in white, blue and gold, it features an imposing chandelier set with countless Swarovski crystals and an almost 4300m² hand-knotted Persian rug.
Open from 08:00 to 11:00 Hrs only, Friday closed (Ladies fully covered with a headscarf and men in full-length trousers)
On our way to the historic district of Muscat, Muttrah, you will have a photo-stop outside Al Alam Palace, the representative palace of his majesty; Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. This unique building is flanked by the Portuguese forts Jalali and Mirani, built in the 16. Century. Afterwards we will have the opportunity to stroll over the Muttrah Souq for shopping. This is by far the largest Souq in Oman, which is also caused by the long trade history of its today’s capital. We will have the chance to explore the colorful alleyways and to negotiate a bargain in one of the plenty silver-, gold-, pashmina-, or any other type of booth you can imagine. Before returning back to the hotel, we will stop at the Royal Opera House, which was built in 2011 and the first and only institution of that kind within the entire Arabian Peninsula at that time. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3:
Private Yacht Dolphin Watching + BBA Lunch at Bandar Khiran (Breakfast, Lunch) (50 kilometers / 6 hours)
After Breakfast, Transfer from Hotel to Marina Al Rowdha for Beach Excursion. Make your dreams come true with double the pleasure of watching dolphins and snorkelling by combining the two!. Regular visitors are bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins, spinner dolphins and Rises dolphins along the coast in Oman. After seeing, these beautiful cetaceans unwind by snorkelling in the crystal waters in nearest snorkelling sight. Coral beds provide homes to an exotic variety of fish that are a pleasure to be hold. Catch the timeless magic of tropical fish in a real-life situation.
We take you to an exclusive secluded beach in Bandar Khiran. Be your own master as you relax, swim, snorkel among colorful corals and tropical fish or just laze on a tranquil beach and make your own rules on this secluded island in Bandar Khiran. We provide you beach mats, beach umbrellas and towel. On your return Enjoy Oman’s magnificent coastal scenery. BBQ Lunch at the beach as well. Once back at Marina, Transfer back to hotel around 1700 hrs. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4:
Muscat – Wadi Arbaeen – Wadi Shab – Sur – Dhow Factory – Wahiba (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) (350 kilometers / 9 hours)
After Breakfast and Check-out, start your journey from modern Muscat southeast to Sur. The drive will take you along the rugged coastal landscape, past the coastal resort of Quriyat. We make shortstop at Bimah Sinkhole and drive into Wadi Arabeen. On the way beautiful Landscape views and we reach the spot for Private Set-up for BBW Lunch. Later we drive to beautiful Wadi Shab. Take a short boat ride to cross the lagoon. Walk between the cliff hanging Mountains to reach breath-taking Water pool Views. After a walk for approx. 40 mins reach the Water Pool. Who likes can have a short swim here. (Please carry towel and cloths with you. There is no proper changing facility at the spot, however one can use the rocks to hide and change.) Refresh yourself in the crystal clear and turquoise shimmering waters of one of the natural pools. After the return walk, board the cars and proceed further, until you reach the ancient seafaring town of Sur. In the stronghold of Dhow Factory, you visit a local shipyard, which gives you an insight into the glorious past of the leading trade centre southeast of Muscat.
Then, head inland for a highlight of every Oman trip: the Wahiba Desert. Be enchanted by the expanse of this inland desert, whose sand dunes cover an area of 15,000km. Cross the reddish-orange dunes in an all-terrain vehicle before reaching your destination of the day, a luxurious desert camp. You will stay in a comfortable and luxuriously furnished tent accommodations invite you to spend the night here in the midst of the Wahiba Desert. Dinner and Overnight and Dinner in Resort.
Day 5:
Sunrise in Hot Air balloon - Wahiba Sands - Nizwa - Jabal Akhdar (Breakfast) (300 kilometers / 8 hours)
Get up early and you will see the beautiful Sunrise at the desert. Breakfast at the camp and check-out. Drive via Ibra and proceed toward Hajar Mountains to reach the small town of Jabrin. Visit the Jabreen Castle where you will see the ornate living spaces and elaborately painted wooden ceilings. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bahla-Fort (outside tour) from l the tour drives up to the mountain and you will stay at the view with stunning view. Further, the Journey brings you to Jabal Akhdar Mountains. Once at around 2000 m height. Drive to Anantara Jabal Akhdar Resort. Dinner and Overnight in Resort.
Day 6:
Nizwa - Al Hamra - Misfat - Jabal Shams (Breakfast, Lunch) (250 kilometers / 8 hours)
Get ready for breakfast, drive down from the mountains. Depart for Nizwa, you will have enough time to visit the fort of Nizwa, which stands out from afar through its monumental 35-meter-high fortress tower from the oasis. The rectangular fortress was built in the middle of the 17th century and is accessed via a massive wooden gate. East of the fort is the Souk of Nizwa. Take a leisurely stroll through the lively market stalls.
Once down at Al Hamra Village, embark the Bus and driver further back to the hotel. Before exploring the beauty of the to the small mountain village of Misfah, one of the most beautiful places in the Sultanate of Oman. Stroll through the old town, which is only for pedestrians to explore. Admire the beautiful, terraced fields that line the small town and marvel at the elaborate irrigation system. Afterwards, your journey will continue to Al-Hamra. In the old clay settlement, which boasts countless red brick houses, visit the lovingly furnished home and culture museum Bait al-Safah Museum. Here you get a comprehensive insight into the traditional life of the Omanis. Learn how coffee is roasted, bread is baked, and you will see Omani ladies working there and have chance to try the food they are making. The camp located at Al Hamra and has ca. 1350m altitude on a rocky plateau with an impressive view over the rugged mountains. Later continue Via the Wadi Ghul you drive with 4WD shuttle further into the region of the mountain of the Jebel Shams. From a plateau at an altitude of some 2,000 m, you have a gigantic view of a 1,000 m deep gorge, which is rightly called the "Grand Canyon" of Oman. Drive back to Anantara Jabal Akhdar Resort. Dinner and Overnight in Resort.
Day 7:
Jabal Akhdar - Muscat - Afternoon City Tour (Breakfast, Lunch) (300 kilometers / 7 hours)
After Breakfast, enjoy a drive in the mountains; stop at the Date plantation for a walk around before driving through the winding roads finally leading you to Jebel Akhdar (Green Mountain) 2500 metres above sea level. The cool and comfortable climate at this altitude as well as the spellbinding views and scenery below is simply breath taking and not to be missed.
Later we drive up to the mountain and we make four villages walk around the Saiq Plateau; you need good shoes for the same, which has good sols and as per your interest walk can be done in an hour or even extend it to 2 hours. Enjoy the view of Terrace Gardens from the Village Al Ain. Interested Guests can continue the walking short trek through the village to Al Aqr (Rest can do the journey in Car and enjoy the view from other side until the group finishes the short trek in around 45 minutes). We also stop at Wadi Bani Habib for photo-stop. If interested, we can also go down the steps to see the ruins from the close. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Resort.
Day 8:
Muscat (Breakfast) (250 kilometers / 4 hours)
After breakfast we still have time to enjoy the pool and hotel facilities depending on the departure of our flight. Drive down the mountains and further towards Muscat Airport.
