After a refreshing swim, a last stop in Izamal: here the Spaniards built the grandiose convent of St. Anthony on top of the ruins of a former Maya site. In the late afternoon we arrive in the capital of the Yucatan State, Mérida, a city that still retains vestiges of the days of European prosperity and elegance, a legacy of Spanish and French domination.

Day 3:
Uxmal - Merida

Lunch included and return to Merida where we will take a short panoramic tour to admire the Paseo de Montejo, the Monumento alla Patria, the main square with the Cathedral and the government buildings.
