Departure to explore the Golden Triangle, an area once infamous for its opium production and trafficking. We reach a rugged plateau inhabited by the local hilltribes. Visit to Shan, Akha and Lahu villages. Then we continue on to Sop Ruak, the famous viewpoint over the Mekong river, where the natural boundaries of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet. Return to Chiang Rai.
