Détails programme

Departure in the morning for Mae Rim, traveling along picturesque valleys and hills dense with tropical forest. We visit one of the most photogenic waterfalls in northern Thailand, the Mae Sa Waterfall. Composed of 10 levels, it is possible to reach the by following a path in the forest. Time at leisure to dip in the many freash and creal water ponds at the base. Transfer to the village of Mae Kampong, a typical northern village still untouched by mass tourism. Located on a provincial mountain road, the village is immersed in nature, being surrounded by the forest and offering a rare, almost mystical atmosphere to the rare visitors. We continue towards the homonymous nearby waterfalls, reachable following a very picturesque trail in the jungle. The waterfalls have 7 levels and the water flows through numerous cracks in the dark rocks, giving a very wild look to this really off-the-beaten track place. Lunch in a typical restaurant. On the way back to Chiang Mai, we stop to see a Royal Family sponsored project: where once opium was cultivated as the only way to earn a living, now the villagers, mostly hilltribes, now cultivate strawberries, tea, coffee and flowers of very good quality. Return to Chiang Mai in the afternoon and transfer to the hotel.
