Program

Day 1:
Katunayake | Habarana
Arrival at the international airport in Colombo, formalities for entry and baggage claim. Meeting with guide and transfer to Habarana.
During the transfer and stop at Dambulla Cave Temples, religious-historical place where they are kept in 5 different caves 150 Buddha statues. Arrival, accommodation and late afternoon we make a Village Safari Tour, interesting experience that will allow you to put you in contact with the rural life of the local population.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Habarana and / or Dambulla.

Day 2:
Habarana | Sigiriya | Polonnaruwa | Habarana
Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning excursion to the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya. Located 300 meters high, was built on top of a monolith of red stone that dominates a harmonious set of gardens. The palace built on the summit is reached by a narrow staircase that winds through the huge paws of a stone lion.
Lunch during the excursion.
In the afternoon excursion to Polonnaruwa, the ancient capital of the kingdom of Sri Lanka. Architectural complex consisting of temples, palaces and a pool in the shape of lotus.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Habarana and / or Dambulla.

Day 3:
Habarana | Jaffna
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for the northern region of Sri Lanka – the colourful city of Jaffna, long isolated by the civil conflict between the central government and the "Tamil Tigers. The Jaffna peninsula, which could also be considered as an island connected to the rest of the country by a long strip of land and where a causeway called "Elephant Pass" the colleague.
Lunch during the transfer.
Arrival at hotel and rest of the afternoon off.

Day 4:
Jaffna
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit the city and surrounding areas of Jaffna, the city's history reflects those that were the rulers succeeded by the Portuguese to the Dutch up to the English. Visit to the strong Dutch Hammenhiel with the Dutch church inside that dates back to 1706. Jaffna Library, monumental building as well as important library. You will also visit the Nallur Kandasamy Kovil and Vallipuram Kovil in Point Pedro, two of the most important Hindu temples in Sri Lanka.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Visit to the Buddhist temple Nagadeepa Island, one of the three places visited by the Buddha in Sri Lanka and therefore a destination for Buddhist pilgrimage.
Dinner and overnight at hotel in Jaffna.

Day 5:
Jaffna | Anuradhapura Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to Anuradhapura the oldest capital of Sri Lanka.
Lunch during the transfer.
Arrival and accommodation following a visit to the sacred Bo tree - Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, grown from a seedling of the tree under which Buddha became enlightened.
The ancient capital was founded in 380 BC and occupied an area of over 40 sq km., unfortunately this city remain only scattered ruins of palaces and monasteries in a rather large area. Currently the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Anuradhapura.

Day 6:
Anuradhapura | Kandy
Packed breakfast.
Rise early to make a jeep safari inside the Wilpattu National Park, famous for its leopards with Lunch breakfast. After returning to the hotel to freshen up, following departure to Kandy via Matale to discover the fragrant spices
island.
Lunch during the visits. Continue to Kandy, arrival and visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth of Buddha, containing the most revered relic in Sri Lanka. Before returning to the hotel, stopping to watch a performance of local cultural dances.

Day 7:
Kandy | Nuwara Eliya
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for Nuwara Eliya, along the way stop at a tea plantation and factory. Lunch at local restaurant.
Check-in the hotel. In the afternoon walk-tour of this colonial town, situated at the foot of the highest mountain in
Sri Lanka, the Pidurutalagala, in one of the most scenic areas of the tour.
Dinner and overnight at hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 8:
Nuwara Eliya | Colombo Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to Colombo, via Kitulgala. Stop along the way to Melsna Tea Centre and unique and ideal for
photographing the falls of St. Clare and Devon.
Lunch during the transfer. Arrival in Colombo and short orientation tour of the city. Thereafter proceed to hotel in
Colombo and check in.
Dinner and overnight at hotel in Colombo

Day 9:
Colombo | Katunayake
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for flights to return to the city of origin.
