Day 1:
Phnom Penh (Lunch)
Arrival and transfer to the city. Lunch at a typical restaurant. Half-day dedicated to the Classical part of Phnom Penh, the Capital of Cambodia. The visit includes the National Museum, a precious treasure chest enclosing the masterpieces of Khmer sculpture from the V to XIII centuries. Then the Royal Palace with the Hall of the Throne, in which the Sovereign still grants his hearings and the contiguous complex of the Silver Pagoda. Transfer to hotel. Dinner in the hotel.

Day 2:
Phnom Penh - Siem Reap via Kompong Thom (Breakfast, Lunch)
Leave Phnom Penh after passing through Skun, famous in the country as the capital of fried spiders and the rich countryside of the Great Lakes River, continues with a deviation on a small road that leads, among thick vegetation and wooden houses, to the sanctuary of Kuk Nokor, the 11th-century Khmer temple in a perfect state of preservation. Arrived at Kompong Thom. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Taking the road leading to the banks of the Great Lake, where dozens of boats are moored as floating houses of fishermen's villages. Here are their homes, schools, church, shops, public offices, and fish farms. Everything is built on floating boats and floating platforms that level up and down according to the regular rhythm of the lakeside. You reach Siem Reap in the late afternoon.

Day 3:
Siem Reap (Breakfast, Lunch)
Full-day visit of the Angkor temples - the largest archaeological area in the world, where archeologists classified 276 monuments of great importance. The undisputed masterpiece of Khmer art and architecture is Angkor Wat, with twelve hundred square meters of exquisite bas-reliefs that offer a spectacular testimony of art of exquisite refinement. It is considered one of the most beautiful monuments in the whole world. It was dedicated to Vishnu and is the only temple in Angkor facing west. Images that have created the “myth” of Angkor Wat are discovered in Ta Prohm, where giant trees are among the tangle of towering shrines, huge roots are wrapped around the galleries and shrubs sprout from the roofs of each building until visitors can no longer distinguish the work of man apart from the creations of nature. Lunch in a typical Cambodian restaurant. Then visit the fortified Citadel of Angkor Thom: the last capital of the Khmer kingdom. Jajavarman VII fortified this area in the year 1181- 1185. It has thick walls and 5 monumental entrances. At its core is the Bayon, a huge Buddhist temple decorated by more than 1200 meters of bas-relief containing more than 11.000 figures and with an impressive 54 towers with a Crown-Shrine to top it all off. The King dedicated this temple to his mother and was one of the wealthiest temples, inhabited by more than 12000 people with vast stores for jewels and gold.

Day 4:
Siem Reap (Breakfast)
Departure to visit the temples of Angkor: One of the oldest sacred constructions is Prasat Kravan from 921: five shrines dedicated to the cult of Vishnu, built in brick. The brick was also used to build the Mebon in 952, the temple that stood on an artificial island in the center of the large basin of the eastern Baray. Nine years later Rjendravarman had Pre Rup erected, a magnificent mountain temple with warm ocher colors. The use of sandstone triumphs in the mighty Ta Keo while the themes of classicism find their first expression in the delightful Thommanon. Transfer to the airport.
