Program details

Departure to reach the infamous Golden Triangle, an area once known for its lawlessness and opium trade and production. We reach the viewpoint over the Mekong river, where the natural borders of Laos, Thailand and Myanmar meet. Visit the interesting Opium Museum. Lunch in a typical restaurant. After lunch we head to Mae Sai, the northernmost point of Thailand, also a border crossing point with Myanmar. We visit a colorful market, rich with handicrafts from the three countries. Return to Chiang Rai.
