Program details
We visit Chiang Rai's most important temples, starting with the Wat Phra Kaew, where the Emerald Buddha was once displayed. After we visit the Wat Phra Singh, a beautiful example of Lanna architecture, containing the very sacred Phra Singh Buddha image. Traveling to the outskirts of the city we reach the amazing Wat Rong Kum, also known as the White Temple, a temple built by a famous local artist, who dreamed of it and built it at his own expenses. Not similar to any Buddist temple, it is truly an unique site and one of the country's most photographed. We end the excursion with a visit at the classic Wat Phra Chao Lan Thong, a fine example of Lanna architecture. Return to Chiang Rai and transfer to the hotel.
